16 listopada w dziale listów do redakcji konserwatywnego kanadyjskiego dziennika „National Post” ukazał się list dr. Davida Rakowskiego, który kwestionuje stanowisko polskiego premiera wobec oszczerstw zamieszczanych w serialu Netflixa o wojennych zbrodniarzu Demianiuku, przypomnijmy, że w jednym kadrze na współczesną mapę Polski nałożono oznakowania obozów zagłady, sugerując w ten sposób, że w jakiś sposób były one zlokalizowane na terenie państwa polskiego, a nie okupowanej przez Niemców Polski.
Dr. Rakowski podkreśla rzekomy współudział Polaków w zagładzie Żydów pod okupacją niemiecką i pisze:

Re: Netflix ‘rewriting’ the Holocaust, says Poland’s leader, Nov. 12
I was saddened to read about the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s reaction and remarks accusing Netflix of rewriting history, which it seems he is trying to do himself. Why do so many Poles refuse to admit to their complicity in moderm-day history’s worst genocide?
My late parents, both born in Poland, survivors of Auschwitz and Buchenwald, who witnessed first-hand the horrors and atrocities of the Nazi killing machine, made sure we knew exactly what happened.
The Poles’ complicity in the mass murders of European Jewry easily allowed the Nazis to operate concentration and death camps because of the rampant anti-Semitism of the majority of the Polish population at the time,
Most young Germans I speak to today are very remoseful of their ancestral past. Why are so many Poles wary of acceptlng the truth of the participation of their people as accomplices in the Holocaust, but would rather be called victims? Probably because the virulent anti-Semitism still exists.
When this part of history that happened not that long ago is trying to be erased, the door opens for it to happen again.

Oskarżanie Polaków o jakąkolwiek odpowiedzialność za niemiecką politykę Final Solution od dawna jest potępiane rzez znaczących historyków i tak na przykład:

W jakim celu? Można się jedynie domyślać, z pewnością nie sprzyja to jednak budowie mostów i porozumienia między naszymi narodami licznie reprezentowanymi również tutaj w Kanadzie.
